Context: Home manages IKEA’s ongoing and paid social media content, as well as their campaigns and newsletters. I’ve had the opportunity to take the design and art direction leand in several cross-media campaigns containing: (D)OOH, social media advertisements, and newsletters. In addition, I regularly handled the weekly ongoing social content. For every IKEA project, maintaining consistency with the brand guidelines and house style is essential.
Process: IKEA follows a strict social brand guide that specifies the placement of product names and prices. The challenge for me was to discover creative possibilities within these guidelines. I achieved this trough imagery, compelling copy, and subtle design elements such as crossed words. This approach allowed me to implement creativity into the work while remaining compliant with the brand’s standards.
